Activities of 2007

On 4th March 07,the students of the Centre participated in the neighbourhood Holi Mela. They were invited to join in the dance & merriment. They also had breakfast & lunch with the members of the society of Judges’ Colony, Balbir Road. Inspiration has been working on the advocacy in schools & institutions here. We have been constantly writing to various schools.On the 13th of May’07, Mrs. Singh conducted an awareness program at Scholars’ Home on Rajpur Road, Dehra Dun. On 29th & 30th of May, Inspiration convened the North-West Regional Convention for Parivaar. Inspiration has been an active member of Parivaar- National Federation of Parents’ Associations in India. On the 26th of Sept’07 Mrs. Singh was awarded the National Trust Annual Awards ’07 as the Best Parent of a Person with Disability .This was for “outstanding achievements made and excellent standards set” in the field of Intellectual Disability. A 3-day Training program sponsored by the National Trust was conducted by Mrs. Singh, on 4-6thof Oct’07 at St Marks’ Girls’ School at Paschim Vihar, New Delhi. This was attended by about 30 teachers from 12 different schools of the west Delhi district. The next program for about 150 teachers was held in Mount Carmel School, Dwarka.
